Vaughan's new downtown, built around the subway and still growing.

Overview

Vaughan's
Urban
Future

The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre is a new downtown being built around Vaughan Metropolitan Centre station, the northern end of TTC Line 1. What used to be office parks and parking lots is now condo and mixed-use towers, with restaurants, gyms and shops for the people who live there, many of them young professionals who take transit.

The subway takes residents straight to downtown Toronto without a car, which keeps demand steady from buyers priced out of the city who still commute there. Investors bought here early in pre-construction, and more people are now buying to live in as the area fills in.

Buying here well means knowing which buildings are well built, what's planned next for the area, and how to judge a resale condo when price per square foot changes a lot from tower to tower. I can help with the numbers, my contacts with local developers and an honest view of what's good value.

Lifestyle

Life at the VMC

Subway Connected

The TTC subway terminus at VMC station is the community's defining asset. Residents step off the elevator and onto a train that reaches Bloor-Yonge in under 30 minutes. For professionals who work downtown but need more space than the city affords, the VMC closes that gap better than anywhere else in the 905.

Urban Infrastructure

A new YMCA with a pool, a public library branch, a performing arts studio and a nine-acre central park are already open. Towers like Transit City, CG Tower, Expo and Icona are finished and occupied, and about 17M sq ft of planned development is still to come.

Investment Logic

The VMC is next to the subway, fully planned and a priority for the city. Rental demand from people who commute by transit is strong, there are still pre-construction options, and the resale market rewards buyers who do their homework.
